Complete kit to knit the broken light shawl. Available in a squishy merino bamboo blend yarn in four colourways. Inspired by a walk through the woods on a sunny day, from deep dark dense tree cover, to areas of broken shade, then the open clearings. As the light changes, so too does the texture on the forest floor, with little growing in the densest shade.
This is a complete kit, with two 100g hanks of conordinating skeins and a printed paper pattern. This comes in an organza bag to keep it all together.
The yarn is 80% suprewash merino and 20% bamboo. Soft, squishy, and with a wonderful bounce, this is a wonderful yarn to work with. These are dyed in a vibrant range of colours inspired by nature. The yarn base has a subtle sheen to it that gives the colours a real depth when knitted up.
The pattern is designed to use simple stitches, with four sections to knit. One is simple stocking stitch, two are purl garter stitch, and the lace panels are simple to keep track of. The repetetion of these simple stitches, along with the changes in colour, are what build this into a gorgeous pattern. Shawl is worked from the narrow point to the longest edge, with increases worked gradually at the start and ends of rows.
